Former Germany midfielder Toni Kroos has suggested Bayern Munich are relying too much on the talent of 21-year-old midfielder Jamal Musiala on his podcast Einfach mal Luppen on Saturday.
It is hard to argue against the claim that Jamal Musiala is currently Bayern Munich’s best player, along with the German national team. He is, without a doubt, one of the most promising young talents in world football, which is almost a paradoxical statement because of how long it already feels like he has been on the scene for both club and country and how much he has achieved in such a short amount of time.
Musiala is Bayern Munich’s best player at the moment, as evidenced by the 21-year-old midfielder’s impressive displays for the Bavarian side, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists in 19 appearances in all competitions this season. However, Kroos believes the Bavarians are too reliant on Musiala for goalscoring opportunities, especially against stronger opposition.
‘I think it’s too much that Bayern rely on him, especially against stronger opponents. You can rely on players, but it’s surprising how much they rely on Jamal to create chances,’ Kroos explained.
Bayern Munich rely heavily on Musiala’s natural dribbling ability, which allows him to break through opposition defences in tight spaces.
