Jonathan Tah will remain with Leverkusen until the final day of his contract, the club boss has confirmed.

Leverkusen manager Xavier Alonso has confirmed that Jonathan Tah will remain at the club until the end of his contract and has not ruled out the possibility of convincing the player to sign a new deal, Mundo Deportivo reported on Saturday.

Tah’s contract with Leverkusen expires on June 30, 2025 and the 28-year-old centre-back will leave on a free transfer after that, with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid all linked.

There have also been reports that Tah could be on the move in January, but Alonso has insisted the 28-year-old centre-back will remain at the Pharmacy until the end of his contract and has not ruled out a new deal.

‘We want him until the last day and then we’ll see what happens,’ Alonso said of Tah.

For Alonso, Tah is a top-level leader who is improving every day and his consistent performances as the Bundesliga champions’ defensive leader.

‘We had honest conversations in the summer and now we are very happy that he is with us,’ Alonso added. ‘He is delighted to have him with us this season. His attitude is top level and he has a big influence on our games. We need him until the last day and then we will see what happens in the future. The summer UFABET is too far for me. ‘
